The European Commission has awarded Bologna the European Mobility Week Award and the Czech association Pěšky městem the Mobility Action Award for their efforts in promoting sustainable urban mobility during the 2024 European Mobility Week.

On 28 March 2025, the European Commission announced that Bologna had been awarded the European Mobility Week Award, while the Czech association Pěšky městem received the Mobility Action Award. Bologna was recognised for its Car-Free Days events, and Pěšky městem for its nationwide campaign promoting active mobility. Both initiatives, which focused on sustainable urban mobility, took place during the 2024 European Mobility Week.
