The European Confederation of the Footwear Industry (CEC) has introduced the METASKILLS4TCLF project, an EU-funded initiative aiming to equip the textile, clothing, leather, and footwear (TCLF) sectors with future-oriented skills. With a strong focus on innovation, sustainability, and digital transformation, the project seeks to bridge skill gaps and better prepare the workforce for rapidly evolving industry needs.
Led by a consortium of 21 partners across 11 EU countries, METASKILLS4TCLF is designing learning content that supports lifelong learning and strengthens professional pathways within TCLF. It also works towards raising awareness among young people and job seekers about career opportunities in these industries. This initiative builds on the sector’s rich heritage while embracing emerging trends, making it highly relevant for education providers, policymakers, and businesses alike.
