Brussels’ local transport company, MIVB, has launched its first all-electric buses as part of a plan to deploy 70 by 2025 and transition to a fully electric fleet by 2035, thereby enhancing sustainability and reducing emissions in the city.

According to the Flemish Radio and Television Broadcasting Organisation (VRT), the Brussels local transport company, MIVB, has launched its first all-electric buses. Starting with three buses on line 53, this initiative is part of a larger plan to introduce 70 all-electric buses by 2025. The ultimate goal is to achieve a fully electric fleet by 2035, thereby enhancing sustainability and reducing emissions in the city.
