On Wednesday, 9 July 2025, we reached a major milestone for the retail ecosystem with the successful and well-attended launch of the Transition Pathway Stakeholder Support Platform.
This new interactive digital hub is built to empower retail stakeholders, businesses, policymakers, and social partners to take an active role in the green, digital, and skills transformation of the sector, in line with the European Commission’s 2024 Transition Pathway for Retail.
The event united influential voices from across the retail ecosystem and the European Commission to present the platform’s vision, key features, and strategic impact.
From policymakers and SMEs to industry leaders and regional stakeholders, participants shared a strong commitment to building a more resilient, competitive, and forward-looking retail sector.
To help you make the most of this new platform, we've included a step-by-step User Guide covering how to:
• Register and access the platform
• Submit pledges, events, reports, and initiatives
• Connect and collaborate via community workspaces
• Access useful policy and funding information
• Reach out for support via the built-in helpdesk
We’ve also attached the presentation slides from Joanna Zawistowska, Policy Officer for Retail, DG GROW, which outline the platform’s purpose, policy context, and the broader vision behind the Retail Transition Pathway.
Whether you attended the workshop or not, we invite you to log in, explore the platform, and share your contributions. Your ideas, pledges, and experiences are crucial to shaping a sustainable and innovative retail future in Europe.
Together, we are building the future of European retail
