Launched in 2021, the Rural Pact initiative is a framework for collaboration among public authorities, civil society, businesses, academia, and citizens to achieve the EU's long-term vision for rural areas. The program encourages collaboration, idea-sharing, and action to create vibrant and sustainable rural regions. Open to anyone passionate about rural development, the Pact offers tools, events, and a platform for connecting people with similar goals with the aim to inspire other actions to contribute to rural revitalisation.  

 
This initiative marks a significant step in ensuring the future prosperity of Europe’s rural communities. It works to mobilise, encourage, or build the capacity of policymakers and local actors by promoting innovative ways of dealing with rural challenges.
