Starting on Monday, 28 October, volunteers in Tallinn began mapping the accessibility of over 1,000 public transport stops to support the city’s Accessibility Information System.
Using the Crowdsorsa mobile app, participants photograph stops to document features such as tactile paving and kerb heights, helping to assess their suitability for people with special needs.
The initiative, led by Tallinn’s Welfare and Healthcare Department in collaboration with Finnish partners, aims to update and enhance existing data on lips.tallinn.ee. This community-driven effort not only improves urban mobility but also rewards contributors with EUR 1 per verified stop.
