The Provincies in Cijfers dashboard, hosted by provincies.incijfers.be, offers user-friendly access to policy-relevant data across various themes. Within the realm of tourism, this tool provides an overview of mobility in the country, broken down by province and municipality. It covers travel behavior, access to different modes of transport, infrastructure, and road safety. For instance, in 2020, cars were the dominant choice for leisure transportation, with over 60.0% of respondents across all provinces opting for this mode of transport. The dashboard is freely accessible and serves local governments and anyone interested in data-driven decision-making. (The original piece available only in Dutch)
