AIPCE-CEP represents the EU fish processors and traders, providing a unified voice in Europe to support the growth and prosperity of companies offering healthy, sustainable, and responsibly sourced fish products. Established in 1959, AIPCE (European Fish Processors Association) and CEP (European Federation of National Organizations of Importers and Exporters of Fish) collaborate under a Co-operation Agreement to inform, analyze, and monitor the trade in EU fish.

Commitments by aspirational objectives:

AIPCE & CEP pledge to the roles and responsibilities indicated under point 1.4 of the Code i.e. pledge to:

- endorse the aspirational objectives set out in the Code

- promote and disseminate the Code with(in) our network

- encourage their members to align their sustainability actions and/or business practices to the aspirational objectives and targets of the Code

- invite their members to adhere to the Code, as appropriate & on a voluntary basis

- explore the possibility of developing sector-specific tools and resources in support of this Code

- continue to engage in dialogue with other food chain/systems actors and EU and international policy-makers to forge (new) relationships, exchange best practices and discuss challenges

encountered, learn from each other (studies, projects) and create better mutual understanding, and identify opportunities for collaboration and potential partnership

- provide, on an annual basis, a report of their activities in support of this Code and its aspirations set out therein, which will be published on an open dedicated website.
