OFN Europe wants to contribute to The Farm to Fork Strategy of the European Green Deal aiming to make food systems fair, healthy and environmentally-friendly. We want to create a sustainable and resilient food system that needs to reconnect producers and consumers in Europe, increase the competitiveness of small farms in Europe and small food shops (Food HUB). To archive this Pledge OFN Europe are going to promote the open source e-commerce platform to green business communities and citizens’ initiatives, promoting and creating new Food Hub. The Food Hub are places where it is possible to aggregate and distribute local food at local level. The OFN platform are going to let to connect farmers with consumer, at digital and local level. The pledge have started in 2023 and will finish in 2024, in more than 10 European countries, creating more than 50 new Food Hub.
