The Eifel tourism strategy for 2025 was adopted on 1 November 2020 by Eifel Tourismus GmbH. Its goal is to promote sustainable tourism in the Eifel region, emphasising digital innovation, environmental protection, and economic development. This policy document is the result of collaborative efforts among local tourism organisations, protected areas, and district economic development companies. The strategy aims to strengthen local and regional networks, enhance the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and ensure a high quality of life for both residents and visitors. It provides a strategic framework for recognising and developing potential in Eifel tourism and outlines implementation in three operational fields: digitisation, SME competitiveness, and the organisation of Destination Management Organisations (DMOs).
