The Finnish Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment released the Roadmap for Growth and Renewal in Finnish Tourism for 2015–2025 in January 2015. This strategic document aims to position Finland as the leading tourist destination in Northern Europe by 2025. It focuses on sustainable development, digital transformation, improved accessibility, and enhanced competitiveness. The Strategy also provides an overview of projects, implemented during 2015-2018, in particular Finrelax, positioning Finland as a top destination for wellbeing tourism, Finnish Archipelago, and Finland Stopover.

Overall, this roadmap is a comprehensive plan aimed at transforming Finland’s tourism sector, making it more competitive, accessible and attractive to international tourists.
