The ENIGMA project, funded by the European Union, aims to safeguard and manage the provenance of cultural heritage. Coordinated by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, it focuses on identifying, tracing and protecting cultural goods from man-made threats such as theft and smuggling. Running from 2023 to 2026, the project will develop advanced tools and technologies, including a Unique Object Identifier and remote sensing techniques, to enhance the protection and monitoring of endangered heritage sites.
