The EU-DOCs for SmUCS (European Doctoral Programme for Smart Urban Coastal Sustainability) project, supported by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions programme, aims to bolster human resources for research and innovation in Smart Urban Coastal Sustainability (SmUCS). Coordinated by La Rochelle Université, a higher education institution in France, it will train 17 PhD students through cotutelles between La Rochelle Université and its partners, enhancing their employability in both academia and other sectors. Running from 1 November 2025 to 31 October 2029, the project focuses on addressing issues such as climate change, coastal vulnerability, and sustainable urban development.
