The Lebenswerter Alpenraum project, funded by the European Regional Development Fund under the INTERREG programme, aims to develop sustainable tourism solutions in the German-Austrian Alpine region. Coordinated by the Johannes Kepler University Linz, it focuses on participatory approaches involving local communities, tourism industries and policymakers, utilising digital tools like VR and AR. Running from November 2022 to October 2025, its expected outcomes include enhanced off-season tourism and innovative cultural experiences (The original piece available only in German).
