The RE-ALLOCATE project, published by CIVITAS, aims to transform urban spaces into inclusive, green, safe, and future-proof areas by reallocating road space to prioritize pedestrians, cyclists, and public transport. Running from May 2023 to May 2027, the project involves ten European cities working in twinned pairs to develop zero-emission, active, and citizen-centered mobility interventions. These cities will pilot innovative solutions to promote safety, inclusivity, and sustainability, while contributing to their net-zero carbon objectives.
