Slobozia, Romania, is improving urban mobility and reducing pollution through an innovative project funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). Running from January 28, 2018, to December 31, 2026, this project focuses on setting up automatic bicycle rental stations across the city. This initiative encourages residents and visitors to choose bicycles over cars, aligning with Slobozia's Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan. Managed under the Integrated Regional Programme (2014-2020) by the Ministry of Regional Development, Public Administration, and European Funds, the project aims to lower CO2 emissions and enhance overall city mobility.
