The TRACE project, funded by the European Union and coordinated by the National Research Council - Institute of Heritage Science, aims to enhance the sustainability performance of 100 European SMEs in the tourism sector by developing business innovation plans oriented towards the circular economy. Running from January 2023 to June 2025, it focuses on increasing awareness and capacity for sustainable practices among SMEs. The anticipated outcome of the project is creating 'champions' of sustainability within the tourism industry through tailored support and guidance.
