Beezy is a non-profit public-private initiative supported by governments, entrepreneurs, local business groups, and national retailers. In today’s digital era, physical collaboration requires strong online support to ensure local products and services are easily found by consumers. The goal is to make local offerings as accessible online as those of online-only players.

As online search before visiting shops grows, Beezy prioritises 'product location' in searches – showing the nearest product rather than the one backed by paid marketing. It links product, stock, and location data to enable seamless multi-channel exchange. This approach has been successfully tested in several shopping areas and endorsed by e-commerce experts.

With AI rapidly changing search behaviour – potentially shifting 60 % of queries from Google to chat-based answers – local findability through AI-ready indexing is vital. SMEs cannot keep pace alone, so collaboration is essential to attract customers through a collective, future-oriented digital strategy.

Unlike small, short-lived 'shop local' campaigns during COVID, Beezy operates on a national scale with potential European expansion, leveraging big tech network effects. It offers scalable solutions for all – from small SMEs to large retailers – enabling diverse apps and platforms that combine commercial and social goals.
