The Colour for Tomorrow Exhibition is organised under the ECOSYSTEX initiative, in collaboration with the Colour4CRAFTS project. The exhibition focuses on the role of colour in shaping sustainable textile futures, highlighting how traditional knowledge and contemporary research on dyes and materials can contribute to circular and responsible textile systems.

The exhibition showcases research outcomes and creative work linked to natural dyes, colour innovation, and craft-based practices. It explores how colour connects cultural heritage with modern textile production, while also addressing environmental challenges such as the impact of synthetic dyes. Through displays of materials, samples, and research-led insights, the event brings together researchers, designers, and practitioners working across textiles, craft, and sustainability to demonstrate how colour can support more circular and locally rooted value chains.

The exhibition is presented as part of the ECOSYSTEX event series and is hosted in a physical format at University of Leeds, Space@DesignLeeds from Tuesday, 5 May 2026 09:00AM to Friday 29 May 2026 17:00PM. It offers participants an opportunity to engage with tangible examples of sustainable colour solutions and their applications in textiles.
