The European Community of Practice for a Sustainable Textile Ecosystem (ECOSYSTEX) will host its fourth annual conference in partnership with the University of Antwerp. The event will focus on advancing circular textiles beyond recycling, bringing together experts, innovators, researchers, and industry representatives to discuss developments shaping the future of sustainable textile systems.

The conference programme will feature discussions, networking opportunities, and collaborative sessions led by several EU-funded projects, including CISUTAC, Circula-TEX, SOLSTICE, FABRIX, JUST FASHION, and CRAFT-IT4SD. Participants will have the opportunity to explore practical examples of textile circularity, including a CISUTAC pilot project involving a semi-automated zipper repair station in Antwerp. The programme will also include visits to the research facilities of Centexbel in Ghent and selected local companies, providing insights into research, innovation, and industrial implementation across the textile value chain.

The conference will take place from 22-24 September 2026 in Antwerp, Belgium, as an in-person event. The event aims to support knowledge exchange and collaboration around circular textile solutions and sustainable value chains in Europe.
