STRUTEX 2026 is an international scientific conference that examines how textile materials, structures and design influence the long-term performance of textile products. Hosted by the Faculty of Textile Engineering at the Technical University of Liberec, the conference provides a multidisciplinary platform for researchers to exchange knowledge on durability, material behaviour, ageing, maintenance and product longevity.

Unlike many events that primarily focus on new materials or emerging technologies, STRUTEX places emphasis on how textiles perform over time in real-world conditions. The programme brings together textile science, engineering and design research, encouraging interdisciplinary discussions on material performance, product design, repair, maintenance, user interaction and the factors that determine whether textile products remain in use or are discarded.

The conference welcomes peer-reviewed research from textile scientists, engineers and design researchers working on material testing, degradation, product development and design for longevity. By connecting technical and design perspectives, STRUTEX contributes to advancing durable, high-quality textile products and supports innovation towards more sustainable and resource-efficient textile value chains.
