This module introduces robotics in textiles, covering robot types, mechanisms, and industry applications. This module introduces the fundamentals of robotics, including robot types, mechanisms, history, and textile-specific applications. Learners explore existing robotized processes, their advantages and disadvantages, and future opportunities for robotization.
📚 Learners will know:
- different robots and operating mechanisms
- applications of robotics in textiles
- which processes are already robotized
- which processes could be robotized in the future
🎯 Learners will be able to:
- handle robots safely
- respond to malfunctions
- assess whether a process should be robotized
- develop a basic methodology for robotization
