The Monitor for Circular Fashion (M4CF) SDA Bocconi presented the Circular Fashion Manifesto 2026 during the event “CIRCULAR ECONOMY AND FASHION - Presentation of the Monitor for Circular Fashion Manifesto 2026” at the European Parliament in Brussels, bringing together perspectives and practical experiences from across the fashion value chain to advance the transition towards a more circular fashion system.
The event “CIRCULAR ECONOMY AND FASHION Presentation of the Monitor for Circular Fashion Manifesto 2026” was co-organized by M4CF SDA Bocconi and CNA Federmoda, involving key stakeholders such as CNA Brussels, the ENVI Committee of the European Parliament, DG GROW, MIMIT, EURATEX, COTANCE, EEN, SMEunited, Vibram, Maglificio Po Srl - Oscalito 1936, Candiani Denim, BIP, Bip.Verco Sustainability.
The event marked the latest step in the M4CF’s work to promote dialogue and collaboration among companies, institutions and other stakeholders working on circularity in fashion. The 2026 update builds on the Manifesto’s shared vision and brings together examples of practices that can contribute to making circular approaches more concrete and scalable across the sector.
The presentation took place as the M4CF enters a new cycle of activities for 2026-2027. A central focus of the new programme is the development of scalable value chain partnerships to prevent and manage unsold inventory, bringing together brands, suppliers and other ecosystem actors. Particular attention is being given to repair and reuse as ways of extending product lifecycles and creating new forms of value across the fashion system.
The Manifesto update reflects this broader approach to circularity, which places collaboration across the value chain at the centre of the transition. Rather than focusing on isolated solutions, the M4CF is exploring how knowledge, expertise and existing practices can be connected to support more systemic approaches to circular fashion.
The event also provided an opportunity to share the latest work of the Monitor with stakeholders from the fashion ecosystem and to encourage further exchange around the practical implementation of circular strategies. This collaborative and pre-competitive approach builds on the M4CF’s work with industry and institutional partners, which includes organisations from different parts of the value chain as well as public institutions and industry associations.
The Circular Fashion Manifesto 2026 therefore represents a further contribution to the ongoing dialogue on circular fashion, collecting practices and experiences that can help move the sector towards a more collaborative and actionable approach to circularity.
