French social partners and trade union representatives met in Paris on 10 July 2025 as part of the EU-funded StitchTogether initiative. The two-day seminar, organised by EURATEX focused on tackling rising production costs, unfair global competition, and energy price pressures in France’s textile sector.
Participants agreed upon the Paris Declaration, emphasising six key commitments from strengthening social dialogue and competitiveness to promoting green transition, skills investment, inclusion, and decent work. EURATEX and IndustriAll Europe leader underlined this consensus as a major step towards ensuring a resilient, sustainable and socially responsible future for France’s textile and clothing industry.
You can read the full statement, including the Paris Declaration, on the official EURATEX website.
