EIM combines primary, traceable production data from different stages of the textile value chain, and its structured data can support Digital Product Passports, PEF, LCA and ESG reporting. EIM will develop the interoperability of its platform so that verified product-level environmental data can be delivered into Digital Product Passport systems, following the data and standards requirements as they are finalized at the EU level.
By 2030, EIM commits to supporting at least 50 brand or supplier implementations in which EIM environmental data is integrated into Digital Product Passports, helping provide traceable information on the environmental impacts associated with textile products.
Targets and indicators:
- Baseline (2026): EIM data structured to support Digital Product Passports, PEF, LCA and ESG reporting.
- Interim target (end of 2027): EIM data interoperable with the DPP data requirements available at that date, and at least 10 pilot implementations with brands or suppliers.
- Interim target (end of 2028): at least 20 brand or supplier implementations.
- Final target (end of 2030): at least 50 brand or supplier implementations with EIM environmental data integrated into Digital Product Passports.
Progress indicators (reported annually): number of live DPP implementations; number of
brands and suppliers integrated; number of product references carrying EIM data in a DPP; value-chain stages.
