What Is the Platform About?

The Transition Pathway for Tourism Stakeholder Support Platform provides up-to-date information and opportunities for connection for businesses and all stakeholders across the European tourism ecosystem. Its mission is to help the industry become more digital, greener, and more resilient — while enabling users to engage in online discussions and connect with each other. The platform ensures relevant, interesting, useful and credible content is available to all types of stakeholder users, covering all the Transition Pathway for Tourism areas.

Creating Your Account: Join the Ecosystem

To unlock the full potential of the platform, click "Join ecosystem" to create your account. Once registered, you'll be able to edit your profile, contribute content, and participate in the community. Registered members can contribute to the platform's content in multiple ways — from submitting pledges and best practices to engaging in goal-oriented discussions.

Navigating the Main Sections

The platform is organised into clearly defined sections, each serving a distinct purpose:

  • What's New – Stay informed with the latest news about legislative developments, platform updates, new pledges, monthly topic announcements, and industry-relevant stories. The news section highlights important updates and activities for the community and motivates members to explore new content and become actively engaged.
  • Stakeholders' Actions – Discover pledges made by organisations committing to concrete actions towards the Transition Pathway for Tourism, as well as best practices and networks. Every user can upload a pledge for the organisation they represent.
  • Skills & Knowledge – Access training courses, learning resources, event resources, and knowledge documents to upskill and stay ahead of the twin (digital and green) transition.
  • Funding & Support – Find funding calls, funding mechanisms, support calls, and support resources. Content includes step-by-step instructions, eligibility criteria, deadlines, and contact information.
  • Interactive Map – Explore a visual overview of content assigned to each EEA/SMP country. The map shows an overview and count of content pieces published on the platform, providing a geographic lens on tourism initiatives across Europe.
  • Community – Connect with peers through the Discussion forum, Networks and platforms, Workspaces, and the Members directory. This section is dedicated to users — it's where you can participate in goal-oriented discussions, collaborate in restricted workspaces, and network with fellow tourism professionals.
  • Calendar – Never miss an opportunity. The Calendar automatically includes all content items with a date attribute, from training courses and funding calls to support calls and events — particularly free events relevant to the Transition Pathway for Tourism.

Engaging with the Community

One of the platform's key functionalities is enabling the community to contribute to its content. As a registered member, you can propose content, submit pledges for your organisation, and participate in monthly topic discussions — including webinars, articles, and goal-oriented online discussions led in collaboration with the T4T (Together for EU Tourism) expert group.

Practical Tips for New Users

  1. Start with your profile – Make sure your account is complete so other members can find and connect with you.
  2. Explore the "What's New" section first – It's the best way to see what's currently happening on the platform and in the wider tourism ecosystem.
  3. Check the Calendar regularly – Especially if you're an SME looking for local tourism events, open trainings, or funding deadlines.
  4. Use the Interactive Map – Filter content by country to find initiatives and data relevant to your region.
  5. Look for user guidance and helpdesk links – If you need assistance navigating the site, these resources are there to ensure you feel supported every step of the way.
  6. Revisit the platform frequently – Content is updated regularly across all sections, with new funding calls, events, and news published on an ongoing basis.

A Platform Built for Collaboration

The EU Tourism Platform is more than a repository of information — it's a living ecosystem. The Editorial team works closely with the Community Management team and stakeholders across Europe to deliver content that is timely, credible, and actionable. From tourism SMEs in rural regions to international associations shaping EU policy, every stakeholder has a place here.
