FOREST is a Portuguese digital platform designed to support the collection, validation and reporting of sustainability data from tourism enterprises. It provides a structured, interoperable and transparent system for measuring environmental, social and governance performance - fully aligned with the EU Green Deal, the Recommendation (EU) 2025/1710, and the Tourism Transition Pathway.
The platform enables companies, particularly SMEs, to automatically report their indicators on energy efficiency, carbon emissions, water use, waste management, circular economy, employment, social inclusion, etc. FOREST connects company-level data with territorial and sectoral indicators, making it possible to assess real sustainability performance across destinations and value chains.
