The Next Tourism Generation Alliance article, published in January, 2025, highlights the Fladgate Partnership's World of Wine project in Portugal as a best practice in skills development. This initiative, located in Vila Nova de Gaia, includes seven museums, 14 food and beverage outlets, a wine school, and shops. It aims to enhance tourism and hospitality skills through collaboration with the national public employment service, IEFP. The project also emphasizes environmental responsibility and the preservation of cultural heritage.
