According to the Croatian Bureau of Statistics, Croatia recorded 3.0 million arrivals and 13.5 million tourist nights in commercial accommodation in June 2026, down 6.6% and 6.1% year-on-year. Foreign arrivals fell by 8.9%, while domestic tourist nights increased by 11.7%. Nights spent by German visitors, Croatia’s largest foreign market, dropped by 28.1%.

Istria remained the country’s most visited county, accounting for 31.9% of all nights despite a 10% decline. Over the first half of 2026, total arrivals and nights were still slightly higher than a year earlier, with domestic growth offsetting weaker foreign tourism.
