Czechia recorded 6.4 million guests in collective accommodation in Q2 2026, with domestic demand still growing while foreign visitor numbers were unchanged year-on-year for the first time since 2021.

According to the Czech Statistical Office, 6.4 million guests stayed in collective accommodation in the second quarter of 2026, up 0.5% year-on-year, while overnight stays rose 0.3% to 15.1 million. Domestic guest numbers increased by 0.9%, while foreign demand stagnated for the first time since Q2 2021.
Germany remained the largest foreign source market with 650,000 arrivals, down 0.6%, followed by Slovakia and Poland. Growth was strongest in the Moravskoslezský, Královéhradecký and Liberecký regions, while Karlovarský recorded the sharpest decline in arrivals at 4.3%.
