According to Spain's National Statistics Institute (INE), hotels recorded 44.8 million nights spent in July 2026, up only 0.3% on July 2025, while the Hotel Price Index rose 5.9% over the same period. The average daily rate reached €156.92 per occupied room, a 6.8% increase year-on-year, and bed occupancy rose to 71.1% (+0.9 percentage points). The data indicate that revenue growth in Spain's hotel sector is currently being driven more by higher prices than by additional guest volume.
