Based on the EU Tourism Dashboard, the most frequent tourism typology within EU sub-regions includes six categories: urban (or city tourism), coastal, nature, rural, snowy mountain, and mixed. Among these, the nature typology is the most prevalent tourism typology among EU sub-regions. In contrast, the snowy mountain and rural typologies are less common. Understanding the dominant tourism typology within each region helps to characterize the available tourism offerings.
