This webinar explored the essential skills needed for the twin transition in the tourism sector. Experts from industry associations, public authorities, academia and the private sector provided examples of trainings and educational practices in the sector and discussed the various challenges faced.

The webinar gathered representatives from HOTREC, EFFAT, the European Federation of Rural Tourism, Breda University of Applied Science, Turismo de Portugal, WiZiU, and the Confederation of German Trade Union and a hotel worker to discuss:

  • Latest developments in skills for tourism
  • Insights from both the employer and employee sides
  • Perspectives from academia on adapting education to meet industry demands
