We're stepping into an exciting time for European tourism! The European Commission is shifting its focus from planning to execution. Through the EU Tourism Stakeholder Platform, we warmly invite tourism businesses, destinations, regions, NGOs, research groups, transport providers, and digital innovators to take an active part in this wonderful transition.

One fantastic way to get involved is by making a pledge.

A pledge is a voluntary promise about how your organisation plans to contribute to the Transition Pathway for Tourism. It’s not about applying for funds or setting up complicated projects—it's simply about sharing your plans and showing your commitment to important priorities like sustainability, digital growth, skills development, and resilience.
When you submit a pledge, you're showing leadership and dedication. It also boosts your visibility across the EU, connects you with others who share your goals, and keeps you informed about upcoming policies and funding opportunities. This is especially exciting as the European Commission prepares a new EU Strategy for Sustainable Tourism, and they’re eager to see real actions already happening across the sector.

Think about how your organisation is already making a difference. Are you working to cut carbon emissions, promote regenerative tourism, or adapt to climate change? Are you leveraging data, digital tools, or smart destination management? Are you building skills, supporting small businesses, or making tourism more accessible? These efforts can inspire others and truly create positive change.
There are many inspiring pledges across Europe. Some destinations aim for climate-neutral tourism and protect biodiversity. Others develop digital platforms to better manage visitors or support smarter decision-making. Many initiatives focus on green and digital skills, resilience to challenges, and inclusive mobility. These examples show how voluntary commitments can spark collaboration, innovation, and transformation.

As members of the tourism community, we all share the responsibility to ensure Europe stays at the forefront of sustainable, innovative, and resilient tourism. We warmly invite you to join us, submit your pledge, and help shape the bright future of our sector. Together, we can turn our shared ambitions into real achievements and build a stronger, more connected European tourism family.
