UN Tourism has launched the Safe Destinations Challenge to inspire innovative solutions that enhance resilience, security, and safety in tourism destinations throughout Europe and beyond. The initiative seeks cutting-edge proposals that address natural disaster preparedness, bolster defense against cyber and physical threats, and improve crisis communication strategies. Open to startups, SMEs, academic institutions, local authorities, and tourism organizations, the challenge emphasizes the need to safeguard Europe's position as the most visited region globally amidst growing environmental and geopolitical risks. Interested participants should submit their applications by October 31, 2025, to help shape the future of safe and sustainable travel.

For more details and to submit your application, visit the official UN Tourism’s Safe Destinations Challenge website.
