The Light in the Dark project's revolutionary Visitor Analysis Report explores how European coastal and rural destinations can combat seasonality and boost off-peak tourism. Conducted across nine European markets, this study involves nearly 5,000 respondents and reveals a growing traveler preference for quiet, authentic, and nature-based experiences.
By uniting stakeholders from Finland, Sweden, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, the report highlights the power of smart analytics and collaborative innovation in creating tailored, low-impact travel experiences. As a model that aligns with EU priorities for sustainability and digital transformation, these findings are crucial for destinations aiming to balance visitor flows year-round and foster economic resilience.
