The first edition of an awards scheme to recognise small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that sign up to the EU Code of Conduct for Responsible Food Business and Marketing Practices, is set to be announced at the end of 2025 or beginning of 2026.

Purpose and vision

The awards aim to recognise and showcase impactful initiatives from SMEs in the agri-food sector that support the green and digital transition while contributing to a more sustainable, resilient, and fair food system. This competition seeks to highlight practical actions that align with the goals of the agri-food Transition Pathway and promote leadership, innovation, and sustainability across the value chain.

Why participate?

By participating in the awards, stakeholders will:

  • gain European-level recognition and visibility for their efforts and contributions;
  • inspire peers and partners by sharing best practices and real success stories;
  • become part of a growing community of innovators and changemakers committed to sustainable transformation in the agrifood sector;
  • contribute to the collective advancement of the EU’s sustainability and transition objectives.
