The seminar “Advancing Nature Credit Markets and Agri-Environmental Innovations in Europe” will take place in Hämeenlinna, Finland, on 17 and 18 November 2026. The event will gather experts, policymakers, practitioners, and project partners from across Europe to examine how nature credit markets and agricultural environmental innovations can support biodiversity, ecosystem restoration, and sustainable land use.

The programme will explore how emerging nature credit markets can complement public funding and create new opportunities for farmers, land managers, businesses, and public authorities. It will also look at the role of EU frameworks such as the Common Agricultural Policy, Horizon Europe, and EIP-AGRI in encouraging environmental innovation and international cooperation. Seminar sessions will include discussions on European policy frameworks, national and international pilot initiatives, project examples, and practical pathways for implementation.

In addition to thematic sessions, the two-day event will include a brokerage and networking session, international project showcases, a field visit, and participation in the Networking Fair linked to the Finnish Seminar on Agri-Environmental Knowledge. The seminar is intended to support knowledge exchange, new partnerships, and stronger collaboration on sustainable agricultural and nature-based solutions across Europe.
