The 2026 Agricultural and Rural Inspiration Awards are now open for submissions, with this year’s edition placing gender equality at the centre of the competition. Organised by the EU CAP Network, the awards celebrate outstanding CAP-funded projects that are helping shape greener, smarter, more inclusive, and more resilient rural communities across Europe.

The 2026 theme highlights projects that empower women to play a stronger role in farming and rural life through leadership, entrepreneurship, and equal opportunities. Alongside the main categories, a special Generational Renewal Award will recognise a shortlisted project that stands out for engaging young people, developing skills, and creating quality employment in rural areas.

The competition also continues to showcase the broader contribution of CAP-funded projects to food security, environmental resilience, and rural development. Applications must be submitted through National Networks, offering local projects a valuable opportunity to gain visibility, recognition, and connections across the European rural policy community.
