The EU Code of Conduct on Responsible Food Business Practices aims to support the shift towards sustainable food systems. Its name was laid down in the EU Farm to Fork Strategy.

Moreover, since its establishment in 2021, its implementation was supported by several Directorates-General of the European Commission.

As of mid-2025, due to the launch of the agri-food Transition Pathway Platform, the Code has been rebranded and will be fully managed by DG GROW. This means the following:
