The strategy emphasises bringing researchers, businesses and end users together to co-create and test solutions in real-world conditions, with particular focus on diversifying protein supply and investing in open-access biomanufacturing infrastructure for start-ups.

An initial AgRI 2040 conference takes place in Brussels on 24-25 September, ahead of more precise action areas to be defined by the end of 2027.
