The CODECS Methodological Handbook for sustainable digitalisation in the European agri-sector supports planning, assessment, decisionmaking, business development, and policymaking. It provides analyses suited to different digitalisation levels and highlights the importance of understanding system complexity in the transition toward sustainability. Some research approaches are available as online tools on the CODECS website, while others rely on researchers’ expertise to assess social, environmental, and economic impacts. The handbook integrates replication methodologies and tools within the CODECS conceptual framework, linking stakeholder engagement, impact assessments, and socio-ecological systems analysis to support systemic transformation of the European agri-sector.
The CODECS Methodological Handbook is structured to guide readers through a systemic approach to sustainable digitalisation in agriculture, examining costs and benefits across multiple levels of analysis.
