The Czech Ministry of Agriculture has published its Green Report on the state of Czech agriculture for 2025, noted by the ministry's leadership on 8 September 2026. Preliminary accounts for the sector show output up 10.7% and gross value added up 28.9%, a year in which strong livestock prices and good harvests lifted farm results well above the previous year.

According to preliminary accounts for 2025, agricultural output reached CZK 193.4 billion, with gross value added rising to CZK 75.6 billion and entrepreneurial income from farming estimated at CZK 26.5 billion, more than double the previous year. Crop output rose 7.7%, with cereals accounting for about 40% and industrial crops 23% of its value, while livestock output grew 15.5% to CZK 81.4 billion, led by milk (54.5% of livestock output), cattle and pigs. Higher realised prices were decisive, with slaughter cattle prices up around 32%, milk close to 17% and eggs 36%, while intermediate consumption, the largest cost item at CZK 117.8 billion, rose only 1.5%.

The Green Report is the ministry's principal annual instrument for tracking the structure, income and performance of the Czech agri-food sector, covering areas such as rural development, the environment and animal protection, organic farming and household food expenditure. It complements the ministry's commodity-level situation and outlook reports for sectors including cereals, dairy, sugar beet and hops, and feeds into national policy planning within the CAP framework.
