The 2026 report highlights the achievements of the European soft drinks sector in 2025, particularly in relation to our sugar reduction commitment and our increased use of recycled PET in our beverage plastic bottles. Indeed, our sector delivered a 14% reduction in average added sugars between 2019 and 2025, well exceeding our 2019-2025 sugar reduction target of 10%. Between 2024 and 2025, UNESDA corporate members also further increased their use of rPET. As a result, in 2025, 60.3% of the PET used in the manufacturing of our plastic bottles was recycled PET, significantly exceeding our 2025 target of 50% rPET .
