Green Cities Europe is a promotional initiative funded by the European Union and coordinated by the European Nurserystock Association (ENA), in collaboration with national nursery organisations across 13 countries. Running from January 2021 to December 2023, the campaign focused on promoting greener urban development by supporting key decision-makers involved in city and landscape planning.

The campaign’s core activities included congresses, seminars, B2B meetings, an expanded website, public relations efforts, and the launch of the European Green Cities Award.

Key achievements of the project include raising awareness among urban planners and policymakers, fostering cross-border knowledge exchange, and strengthening the case for green infrastructure as a vital response to climate and urban challenges.
