The Interreg Europe programme recognised the 'SToryATU' initiative of County Donegal as a good practice for its use of the European Tourism Indicator System to facilitate smart, evidence-based planning through digital dashboards displaying 40 sustainable tourism indicators.

The Interreg Europe programme recognised the "SToryATU" initiative as a good practice and published its overview in December 2024. It uses the European Tourism Indicator System, which offers a toolkit with surveys and indicators addressing destination management, economic value, and environmental and socio-cultural impacts. SToryATU gathers 40 sustainable tourism indicators and displays them in digital dashboards for stakeholders, facilitating smart and evidence-based planning.
