The core mission of the Exploit4InnoMat project is to establish a sustainable open innovation test bed (OITB) across Europe. This platform is designed to support the design, upscaling, and validation of new advanced and nano-enabled materials for building envelopes, helping to meet the European Commission's targets for nearly zero energy buildings (nZEB) and contribute to climate-neutral goals by 2050.
The Exploit4InnoMat consortium includes well-known organisations across nine European Member States (more specifically: Greece, Spain, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Belgium, Cyprus, Romania, and Lithuania).
There is a direct and clearly identified need to involve close nations such as other European countries in order to maximise/fully increase the overall European competitiveness; as such, Norway (2 partners), United Kingdom (1 partner), Turkey (1 partner) – associated countries to the EU – as well as Switzerland (1 partner) – non-associated third country as per the EU list of participating countries – have joined forces and are an integral part of the consortium, based on their niche expertise, technological/industrial know-how, and close connection to their corresponding national manufacturing ecosystems.
