The financing would support IFRRU 2030, a financial instrument established under the EU Partnership Agreement. IFRRU provides funding to financial intermediaries, which in turn support final beneficiaries, including individuals and public entities. The project has two main components: Built-to-Rent and Renovate-to-Rent. Applications will take into account the binding opinion of the relevant municipality, and in certain areas compliance with seismic resilience requirements will be a mandatory selection criterion.

The investments are expected to promote urban renewal, provide more affordable and available housing and, in the long term, support the social integration of different income groups. The project is currently under appraisal.
