According to statistics, Sweden’s accommodation revenues in April 2024 grew by 3.9% year-over-year, with a 21.3% increase compared to the same period in 2019.

In April 2024, accomodation revenues in Sweden grew 3.9% year-over-year, and monthly revenues in 2024 until April have outperformed the respective months in 2023, except for March, which in 2023 was higher by only 1.7%. According to the Agency for Growth, comparing the first four months of 2019 with the same timeframe in 2024, there has been a 21.3% rise in total tourism accommodation revenue. Additionally, there was a 57.5% increase from 2021 to 2022 and a 9.4% increase from 2022 to 2023. TThis growth trajectory has resulted in an increase in revenue per available room from SEK 483 in the initial four months of 2019 to SEK 531 in the corresponding period of 2024. On a yearly basis, revenue per available room grew from 566 SEK in 2019 to 637 SEK in 2023, indicating a robust recovery from pandemic-related challenges.
