The most recent figures from the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia reveal that as of April 2024, Ljubljana, the nation’s capital, has drawn the majority of foreign tourists, accounting for 94.4% of visits. In contrast, domestic tourists have predominantly chosen health (spa) resorts, representing 54.6% of all visits. During this period, Health (spa) resorts also recorded the highest average duration of stay, with guests spending 3.2 nights on average, a statistic consistent among both domestic and foreign visitors. This pattern mirrors the trends observed in the same timeframe in 2019, suggesting that tourists’ preferences within Slovenia have remained stable.
